Science and Math - Oragami - all the MIT kids are doing it

I have this student working in paper for sculpture class. He found such a clear voice in tag board and paper, representing the daily life, things that could even be controversial, but by presenting them in paper - he asks "What's the big deal" - having the viewer ask themselves that question. Seeing their own views - alone in facing the object. Like the image in photo on a news paper, he presents the news paper image in 3D and asks the viewer to just think about what they are seeing, saying, and thinking...
But like every student starting something fresh - they question themselves... hold back.... "I just love paper"... paper, which we buy in pounds, which we abuse, reuse, and treat like a simplistic "starting material" - But I believe it is my favorite ... o.k. - one of my favorites. I LOOOOOVVEE art materials.
